Epidote
By admin on Jul. 20, 2008.
Epidote comes from the French ‘épidote’ and from the Greek ‘epididonai’, which means ‘to give in addition, increase’. This referred to the greater length of its crystals compared with those of related minerals.
Therefore, epidote is a stone of increase. It has a tendency to increase anything it touches, whether it is energy or a material object.
Epidote has a mediating influence and may be carried on or about the person to ensure protection against conflicting circumstances. It soothes the emotional and physical bodies, stills fear and lessens the frequency of panic and/or anxiety attacks. It cleanses repressed emotions once and for all.
Epidote enhances emotional and spiritual growth and opens the way for those who have denied spiritual growth in the past. Epidote is used to stimulate the immune system. It also works to heal intestinal blockages due to nervous disorders affecting the stomach and helps digestion.
Greenish black and pistachio-colored stones are most favorable for reflecting, conducting and projecting healing earth energy back into the environement.
