Lapis-Lazuli

Lapis Lazuli is – like its name already says – a splendid azure – blue stone.
Its name is derived from ‘lapis’, the Latin word for ’stone’, and ‘azula’, the Arab  word for ‘blue’.
Lapis lazuli is granulous of structure and has golden inclusions of pyrites in it.
Just like turquoise, lapis lazuli was an important gemstone in old Egypt. The Egyptians called it a celestial stone and made scarabs, jewels and other symbolic objects out of it.

Lapis lazuli reinforces the will, kindness and helpfulness, protects against bad influences and is the most auspicious friendship – stone. It associated with the troat – chakra and speaking the truth. Lapis Lazuli is a helpful gemstone to overcome shyness and speaking in public.
