Sodalite is a scarce mineral that contains sodium and aluminium with a greyish blue to a rich royal blue color, often mottled with white veins or patches. It is named in reference to its sodium content.
Although very similar to lapis lazuli, sodalite isn’t quite comparable or as much used as lapis lazuli which - in many cases - has a stronger effect. But sodalite shouldn’t be forgotten.
