Vivianite is named after the English mineralogist John Vivian. This rare mineral is colorless when it is first excavated, but as exposed to the air it colors to blue or green, eventually darkening to an intense dark blue, purple and even black.

Vivianite is a useful gemstone for people who are not comfortable with their body. People who find it hard to incarnate, who don’t feel at home on this earth. Vivianite is especially useful for children, it helps them in their process of growth. In general, it helps to accept to be on earth.

Attention: don’t expose your specimen of vivianite to direct sunlight, keep it indoors - as the UV rays will darken it and it will go completely black when left outdoors!
