How long should you wear a gemstone?

Gemstone pendants
In gemstone therapy, stones are usually worn for about three months. Then you will need to reconsider whether it is useful to continue to wear this particular gemstone or to choose another one.
If you have worn a gemstone for a long time, it often loses its sheen and becomes tired and dull. Black spots may appear and sometimes the gemstone even breaks. When this happens, it means that it has served you well by giving you all its energy.
Clean the stone and grant it some well deserved rest by putting it away, e.g., in a small box. In some cases it is known that damaged gems recover after some time, but often they don’t.
Another possibility is to give the stone back to the elements. You can bury it, for example at the foot of a tree, or give it to a river. Never throw your worn out gemstones into the trash can, which is a very disrespectful thing to do!
Storage Advice
Gemstones should never be put together in a box because this creates conflict. There are always dominant (such as olivine) and less dominant (moonstone) gemstones and it’s a bad idea to put them all together in one box. Store them separately.
